National Aluminium Company Limited, abbreviated as NALCO, (incorporated 1981) has units all over India at places like Angul and Damanjodi. It was incorporated as a public sector enterprise of the Ministry of Mines, Government of India in 1981.

National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) is a Navratna CPSE under Ministry of Mines, Govt. of India. It was established on 7th January 1981, with its registered office at Bhubaneswar. The company is a group ‘A’ CPSE, having integrated and diversified operations in mining, metal and power.

NALCO is Asia’s largest integrated Aluminium complex, encompassing bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting and casting, power generation, rail and port operations. It has a 58.5 MW captive power plant, 12 MW wind power plant and a 9 MW waste heat recovery based power plant.

NALCO is a well-diversified company, having operations in alumina refining, aluminium smelting and casting, power generation, bauxite mining, captive power plants, wind power plants, and waste heat recovery-based power plants. The company also has a strong presence in the international market, with exports to more than 20 countries.
