Global Lithium Corporation (GLC) is pleased to announce that its Manna lithium deposit in Australia is expanding. The company recently completed a successful drilling program that has extended the known mineralization of the deposit.
The Manna lithium deposit is located in western New South Wales, Australia, and is one of the largest known lithium deposits in the world. It is estimated to contain more than 1.5 million tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent, making it one of the most significant lithium deposits in the world. GLC has been actively exploring the Manna deposit since 2014, and has now completed a successful drilling program that has extended the known mineralization of the deposit.
The drilling program has successfully identified additional lithium-bearing pegmatite bodies, and has confirmed the presence of additional mineralization. The drilling program has also revealed that the Manna deposit is much larger than originally thought, with a total area of approximately 10 square kilometers. This is significantly larger than the previously estimated area of 3 square kilometers.
The additional mineralization has been confirmed to be of high quality, with grades of up to 1.5% lithium oxide. This is higher than the average grade of 1.2% lithium oxide at the Manna deposit. The drilling program has also identified additional mineralization in the surrounding area, which may indicate the potential for further expansion of the deposit. GLC is now in the process of carrying out additional exploration work in order to further define the extent of the mineralization at the Manna deposit.
The company is also working to determine the economic viability of the deposit, and is currently in the process of completing a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA). The results of the PEA will be used to determine whether the Manna deposit is economically viable, and will provide GLC with the information it needs to make a decision on whether to move forward with development of the deposit. The successful drilling program at the Manna deposit is an important milestone for GLC, and is a testament to the company’s commitment to exploring and developing lithium deposits in Australia.
The results of the drilling program will help GLC to determine the economic viability of the deposit, and will provide the company with the information it needs to make a decision on whether to move forward with development. GLC is confident that the results of the PEA will be positive, and that the Manna deposit will prove to be a significant source of lithium for the company. If the results of the PEA are positive, GLC will move forward with the development of the deposit, which could provide the company with a long-term source of lithium for its operations.
